A6 Charity Run 8th August 2004

Our fifth A6 run from Stockport to Leyland, Charity Run & fun Day took place on 8th August 2004.
It is the policy of the TVVCCC each year to select a worthy charity and arrange various events to support it.
The very first A6 run we held was for Ethiopia, and the second year we raised money for the Childrens Adventure Farm Trust, whose sole aim is to provide breaks & activities for children in need. The third A6 run was held for Christies Hospital in Manchester, and the fourth was for Pendlebury Childrens Hospital in Manchester, where we were very pleased to hand over Six Thousand Five Hundred Pounds from that event.
This year's A6 Run 2004 was the fifth and was in aid of a Charity called Basic, at Hope Hospital, Salford. Basic is short for 'Brain And Spinal Injury Charity' and the charity number is 518806.
The Run was for cars ranging from the late 1890s to todays classics and included cars such as a 1913 Crossley R.F.C, a 1912 Austin 10, and a 1912 Michigan Tourer, and for 2004 we raised a total of £5,400 for the charity !
